ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Densho is a nonprofit organization started in 1996, with the initial goal of documenting oral histories from Japanese Americans who were incarcerated during World War II.

This evolved into a mission to educate, preserve, collaborate and inspire action for equity.

AWBS provided plans and specs for acoustic design improvements, and office space planning. With project partner Coffman Engineers, AWBS is assisting Densho with assessment of their current electrical system.

The project is now in a pre construction phase, were Densho's architect will proceed with the preparation and installation of the acoustic improvements basing the design in AWBS and Coffman Engineers plans.
