RABUOR VILLAGE VOCATIONAL
TRAINING CENTER

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

In conjunction with the Rabuor Village Project and Village Volunteers, AWB-Seattle began designing community and vocational centers in southwestern Kenya in 2009. Two AWB-Seattle team members visited the Village to review site options and meet with the community. A site was selected on a main international road and a two building complex was designed with multi-use spaces, covered walkways, and courtyards. Local materials and construction techniques were used to insure that local builders and crafts people could be involved in construction. The building is permitted.
